Nortje, Warner available for Delhi Capitals’ next match against LSG in IPL 2022: Star batter David Warner and South African paceman Anrich Nortje are now available for selection in Delhi Capitals’ next match. The two players have already completed their isolation period and are completely fit to feature in the Tata Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022.

Delhi’s assistant coach Shane Watson confirmed the development. Watson informed that Warner is out of his quarantine period and is available for the next match against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). Meanwhile, Anrich Nortje, who was struggling with his hip injury, is also learnt to have recovered well and will be available for tomorrow’s fixture against LSG.

“David Warner is definitely out of quarantine period now and is available for tomorrow night’s game, which is very exciting. Anrich Nortje has been doing incredibly well over the last couple of weeks since he’s arrived here in India. Last night, he passed his last sort of fitness test to get through and be passed fit for selection, which is exciting that he’s now available for selection,” said Watson in the pre-match virtual press conference.

Delhi Capitals (DC) lost its last match against Gujarat Titans (GT). DC have played two matches, so far, in the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League and have managed to win one.

Rishabh Pant and Co will lock horns against KL Rahul-led Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the DY Patil Stadium, tomorrow.

Mitchell Marsh still doubtful due to his injury:

Meanwhile, Watson clearly mentioned that all-rounder Mitchell Marsh is doubtful for tomorrow’s game against LSG. Marsh picked up a hip flexor injury during Australia’s recent tour of Pakistan

“Mitch Marsh is progressing really well. Whether he’s available for selection, there is still one more training session as well to get through tonight. But he’s been progressing really well which is very exciting with the firepower he brings to the Delhi squad as well”, he said.

Delhi Capitals (DC) bagged the services of experienced batter David Warner during the player auction for a bargain price of INR 6.25 Crores. The franchise picked Mitchell Marsh by spending INR 6.5 Crores while Anrich Nortje was named as one of the retentions.
