PBKS vs LSG took place in New Chandigarh.
Punjab Kings continued their winning streak in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 as they defeated Lucknow Super Giants to extend their dominance in the league. They completed a magnificent 54-run win at Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium, Mullanpur, New Chandigarh. Put into bat, Punjab piled up a massive total of 254 for seven, in response, Lucknow fought hard but managed 200 for five.
Punjab had a poor start to their innings as Prabhsimran Singh fell for a golden duck. However, what unfolded after that was an absolute mayhem from Priyansh Arya (93) and Cooper Connolly (87).
The two southpaws were all over their Lucknow bowlers, adding 182 runs for the second wicket. Both were on the verge of hitting a century; however fell just a few runs shy of their ton. Marcus Stoinis (29) provided an excellent finish as Punjab posted the highest team total of this season, ending with 254 for seven.
Lucknow promoted Ayush Badoni (35) up the order and he did decently well. He supported Mitchell Marsh (40) as Lucknow had an opening stand of 61 runs. Captain Rishabh Pant (43) came out all guns blazing and hit some sixes to keep his team in the chase.
But Punjab bowlers kept chipping in with regular intervals and didn’t allow Lucknow to go ahead in the game. Aiden Markram (42) and Mukul Choudhary (21) tried their best but the target was beyond reach. Lucknow managed 200 for four and lost the game by 54 runs.
