IPL 2026 points table after KKR vs LSG: Mukul Choudhary single handedly snatches victory for LSG

Lucknow Super Giants registered their second win of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 as they beat Kolkata Knight Riders in match 15 of the league. The Rishabh Pant-led side registered a brilliant 3-wicket win at Eden Gardens in Kolkata. Put into bat, Kolkata posted a total of 181 for four, which Lucknow chased from an almost losing position.

Kolkata lost Finn Allen early, thanks to the controversial catch by Digvesh Rathi. After that, captain Ajinkya Rahane (41) and Angkrish Raghuvanshi (45) batted well and brought the innings back on track after the early blow, adding 84 runs for the second wicket.

However, Lucknow made a strong comeback in the middle overs and reduced Kolkata to 111 for four. Cameron Green (32*) and Rovman Powell (39*) then ensured that they stay there till the end and take their team to a competitive total. Thanks to their 70-run stand, Kolkata posted a total of 181 for four.

Lucknow started pretty well with Aiden Markram (22) and Mitchell Marsh adding 41 runs for the opening stand. However, after that, Kolkata took command of the game as they kept taking wickets at regular intervals. Lucknow were left reeling at 104 for five.

Ayush Badoni (54) fought hard for his team and hit a gritty half-century but it wasn’t enough as Lucknow lost seven wickets for 128. Mukul Choudhary (54*) raised the hopes of fans with his boundaries and sixes.

He took his game to the next level and put Kolkata under pressure, hitting a solid half-century and took his team to win from the jaws of defeat as Lucknow beat Kolkata by three wickets.
