Top three highest run-getter in IPL 2022, Orange Cap in IPL 2022 – Prediction: The most lucrative and the biggest T20 league in the world is just around the corner, with less than four weeks left for the tournament opener. The Tata Indian Premier League (IPL) season 2022 is scheduled to begin on March 26 by the BCCI and the final is staged to be held on May 29.

The skipper of one of the two new IPL teams, KL Rahul’s name has become synonymous with a run-machine in the Indian Premier League (IPL). The dashing batter has scored huge runs in the last four editions of the IPL.

Since IPL 2018, KL Rahul has continuously breached 600 runs mark (in IPL 2019, he scored seven runs short of 600). Moreover, his strike rate has been phenomenal (136). 

Notably, Rahul, who was with Punjab Kings during IPL 2020, was the leading run-getter in the IPL 2020 with 670 runs in just 14 matches. 

The Karnataka-cricketer likes to play long roles in the team and he will once again play the second fiddle to his opening partner. He will surely become one of the highest getters in the IPL 2022.

India’s middle-order batsman, Shreyas Iyer has been in a tremendous form of late. The cricketer is scoring a lot of runs consistently and is a serious candidate to win the Orange Cap in the upcoming season fifteen of the Indian Premier League.

Iyer, in the recently concluded T20I series against Sri Lanka, scored three consecutive half-centuries. On top of that, he remained unbeaten in the entire series. 

The Mumbai-cricketer has proved his mettle in the stage of IPL as well. Shreyas Iyer has regularly scored crucial runs for the team and more often than not he has been successful in giving support to the top order.

Young batsman Ruturaj Gaikwad is in the form of his life. He has been consistently scoring runs in whichever tournament he is featuring in. 

Gaikwad, who is the opening batter for Chennai Super Kings, won the Orange Cap award in the recently concluded IPL 2021. The batter finished with 635 runs in 16 IPL matches. He also smacked a century during the season along with four half-centuries.

With his current impressive form and sublime touch, he is also a probable candidate to feature in the highest run-getters list of the IPL 2022.
