The Narendra Modi Stadium, which was reopened in February 2021 after refurbishing, boast a total seating capacity of 132,000 spectators at once. This figure is massive enough to make it the World’s largest cricketing venue in terms of spectators’ occupancy. The venue is equipped with advanced technologies which include LED lights on the roof instead of the orthodox floodlights.

So far 10 international cricket matches have been hosted in the Narendra Modi Stadium which include two test games against England.

As per a few reports, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is contemplating locking this venue for the final of the ODI World Cup 2023, which will be held in India.
