KKR Squad IPL 2023: Full list of players bought by Kolkata Knight Riders at IPL Auction 2023: Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) completed their squad for the next year’s tournament as they added eight more players to their retained players list and completed the arsenal during the IPL 2023 Auction. The franchise played nicely to get some players at a bargain price during the accelerated round. Despite having very low funds, they were able to pull off some interesting deals.
With a robust playing XI already in place, Kolkata sought backup players at the auction table. Following the trade of Shardul Thakur and Lokie Ferguson, the franchise was left with INR 7.05 Crore of funds in the bank to make further purchases of 11 players at the auction.
KKR got hold of all-rounder Shakib al Hasan for 1.5 Crores and Litton Das at a base price of INR 50 Lakhs. Both purchases were made during the second accelerated round. Meanwhile, they also bagged Namibia’s all-rounder David Wiese at his base price of INR 1 Crore.
The former IPL champions added five domestic players to their arsenal during the auction, besides making foreign investments. The likes of N. Jagadeesan (INR 90 lakh), Vaibhav Arora (INR 60 lakh), Suyash Sharma (INR 20 lakh), Kulwant Khejroliya (INR 20 lakh) and Mandeep Singh (INR 50 lakh) will be seen donning Kolkata’s purple in the IPL 2023.
