IPL 2026 points table after GT vs KKR: Gujarat Titans register their third straight win of IPL
GT registered a 5-wicket win over KKR to move up in IPL 2026 points table.
Gujarat Titans continued their winning run in the Indian Premier League (IPL) as they beat Kolkata Knight Riders by five wickets at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Opting to bat, Kolkata managed 180, which Gujarat chased with ease.
Kolkata had a terrible start to their innings as a change in the top order yet again didn’t work. Captain Ajinkya Rahane fell for a golden duck, while Angkrish Raghuvanshi managed just eight.
Tim Seifert looked good but wasted the start as Kolkata were left reeling at 32 for three. Cameron Green (79) and Rovman Powell (27) bailed their team out of trouble, adding 55 runs for the fourth wicket.
After Powell got out, Anukul Roy and Green carried on and added 60 for the fifth wicket. Green hit his maiden half-century for Kolkata as his 79 helped Kolkata post a total of 180.
GT vs KKR: Shubman Gill takes GT to easy win
Chasing the target, Gujarat captain Shubman Gill looked in a different mood altogether. He played some sublime shots and took his team off to a flying start. He along with Sai Sudharsan (22) added 57 runs for the opening stand.
Jos Buttler (25) also played a vital hand at three. But Gill took all the spotlight with his half-century. He batted till the 17th over and almost took his team to win. Glenn Phillips and Rahul Tewatia then did the finishing job as Gujarat chased the target with five wickets in hand.
