Jasprit Bumrah, Nitish Rana breached IPL code of conduct during KKRvsMI match, Punished: Mumbai Indians star pacer Jasprit Bumrah along with Kolkata Knight Riders’ batter Nitish Rana were on Tuesday found guilty of breaching the Indian Premier League’s (IPL) code of conduct. The two cricketers were penalised for the offence they committed by the concerned authorities, soon after the match ended.

The Indian Premier League officials, though, didn’t disclose the actual offence, the social media handles of the elite T20 tournament confirmed that the two associated players have been penalised over a Level 1 Code of Conduct breach during the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) vs Mumbai Indians (MI) match on Tuesday, 06th April.

“Jasprit Bumrah from Mumbai Indians has been reprimanded for breaching the TATA Indian Premier League’s (IPL) Code of Conduct during his team’s match against Kolkata Knight Riders at Pune. Mr Bumrah admitted to the Level 1 offence of the IPL Code of Conduct and accepted the sanction,” the release stated.

It was further added that Nitish Rana has been fined 10 per cent of his match fee for the respective offence. The batter accepted the sanctions imposed by the officials on him, hence no formal hearings sessions were required.

“Nitish Rana from Kolkata Knight Riders has been reprimanded and fined 10 percent of his match fee for breaching the TATA Indian Premier League’s (IPL) Code of Conduct during his team’s match against Mumbai Indians at Pune. Mr Rana admitted to the Level 1 offence of the IPL Code of Conduct and accepted the sanction,” read the release.

Pat Cummins blew Mumbai Indians away with his extraordinary hitting:

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) defeated Mumbai Indians (MI) by five wickets as pace bowling all-rounder Pat Cummins wreaked havoc with his sensational hitting. The Aussie pacer scored an unbeaten half-century in just 14 deliveries and equalled KL Rahul’s record of the quickest fifty in the history of the Indian Premier League (IPL).

Cummins scored as many as 35 runs off the 16th over, bowled by Danial Sams, and wrapped the proceedings of the match.

With the win, KKR climbed to the top of the points table with three wins and six points from four IPL 2022 matches. Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma’s Mumbai Indians continued their disarrayed form and lost three on the trot. MI are currently placed in penultimate position with a poor net run rate and three losses.

The five times IPL champions, Mumbai Indians will play its next fixture against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on April 9 in the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune.
