MI vs PBKS game took place at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
Punjab Kings continued their winning run in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026. They defeated the Mumbai Indians by seven wickets at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Put into bat, Mumbai piled up 195 for six, which Punjab made fun of and chased it within 17 overs.
Mumbai had a horrendous start to their innings as Ryan Rickelton and Suryakumar Yadav fell in the third over. But it was Quinton de Kock (112*) and Naman Dhir (50) who bailed the team out of trouble and put pressure back on Punjab.
They counter-attacked the bowlers and added 122 runs for the second wicket. While Dhir hit a half-century, de Kock, in his maiden IPL game, slammed a magical century. Thanks to their innings, Mumbai posted a total of 195 for six.
In the chase, Punjab lost Priyansh Arya early for 15 and Cooper Connolly for 17. But, after that, nothing went in favour of Mumbai as Punjab batters took the game away from the opposition.
Prabhsimran Singh (80*) and captain Shreyas Iyer (66) then joined hands and ensured that they take their team close to win. Both the batters looked flawless and hammered magnificent half-centuries, adding 139 runs for the third wicket.
Singh carried on his bat and ensured that he took his team home as Punjab won the clash by seven wickets in hand.
