Pakistan Rise to No.1 Spot in the Rising Stars Asia Cup 2025 Points Table After Thriling Win Over Oman

After defeating Oman, Pakistan A (Pakistan Shaheens) occupied the top position in the latest Rising Stars Asia Cup 2025 Points Table. Pakistan defeated Oman by a good margin of 40 runs at West End Park International Cricket Stadium in Doha, Qatar. It was a one-sided game for Pakistan A, but Oman gave them a good fight too.
With this victory, Pakistan is in the No.1 spot in Group B of the Rising Stars Asia Cup 2025 Points Table with 2 points and an impressive net run rate of +2.00. The Player of the Match was Maaz Sadaqat who played a fantastic knock of 96* (54) and also took two crucial wickets. Maaz showed great cricketing skills with both bat and ball.

He also did an excellent job with the bat as Ifran scored 44 runs in just 21 bals and led Pakistan to a massive 220 runs in 20 overs. Pakistan A vs Oman Match Summary:
Oman won the toss and they opted to bowl first. Pakistan came to bat in the first inning, and they had quite a slow start and lost one wicket in the power play. But, As the game progressed, Pakistan batters started the fireworks and continuously hit boundaries in every over till the inning came to an end.
Maaz Sadaqat played an exceptional inning of 96 runs off 54 balls; he smashed 9 sixes and 5 fours at an impressive strike rate of 177.78. Maaz and Irfan Khan had an 83-run partnership for the fourth wicket; both batters played fantastic cricket against Oman.
Pakistan’s skipper Irfan Khan played an impactful inning of 44 runs off 21 balls, which included 5 sixes. At the end, Pakistan A were able to put 220 runs on the scoreboard in 20 overs with the loss of 4 wickets. Omani bowlers leaked lots of runs, and they could have done better.
In the second Inning, Oman came to chase a massive 221-run target, and they too had a decent start as Oman lost only one wicket in the powerplay. Hammad Mirza and Karan Sonavale played a decent knock of 34 and 26 runs, respectively.
But the middle order of Oman collapsed against the strong bowling of Pakistan, and they lost a couple of wickets. However, Zikria Islam and Muzahir Raza played superb knocks of 57 and 46 runs, respectively, but it wasn’t enough to win this match.
Both the batters tried very hard, but their overs were quite fewer and they were able to score 180/9 in 20 overs. From the Pakistan bowling department, Ubaid Shah took three wickets, whereas Maaz Sadaqat and Saad Masood took two wickets each.
