IPL Points Table: Delhi Capitals (DC) has somehow managed to resurrect their done and dusted IPL 2024 campaign. Following their long stay at the bottom of the IPL Points Table, the Rishabh Pant-led side has made it to the top half, with their win league stage win against LSG. Delhi Capitals (DC) defeated LSG by 19 runs in match number 64 of the TATA IPL 2024.

DC vs LSG Match Summary
After inviting Delhi To bat first, LSG made a brilliant opening with the scalp of dangerous Jake Fraser-McGurk for a duck. Pacer Arshad Khan provided the first breakthrough. However, following that wicket, LSG couldn't cash in more of them as DC stitched timely partnerships.
Abhishek Porel (58 runs) and Shai Hope (38 runs) added 92 runs to the total, then it was Rishabh Pant (33 runs) and Tristin Stubbs (57* runs), who stitched a decent 47-run partnership to keep the scoreboard moving.
To finish things off, Stubbs paired with Axar Patel as the two added 50 runs in death overs. The two batters remained unbeaten as they took DC's total to 208 runs in 20 overs.
LSG, though, had a horrible game, which eventually resulted in a 19-run loss. Barring the innings of Nicholas Pooran and Arshad Khan, the other batters didn't had a memorable stay in the middle.
KL Rahul and Quinton de Kock were dismissed cheaply followed by the scalps of Marcus Stoinis and Deepak Hooda. Delhi continued picking wickets on regular intervals and didn't let LSG batters settle.
Nicholas Pooran scored a brilliant 27-ball 61 runs, which kept LSG's hopes alive throughout the innings. Later in the innings, Arshad Khan played a magnificent 33-ball 58-run knock. Though Arshad looked fantastic initially, he started struggling to middle the ball after completing his half-century.

Although Delhi Capitals (DC) has won its last league stage fixture against LSG and made it to the top half of the IPL Points Table, still the playoff spot is a distant dream for them. Their net run rate, which is negative, is going to give them a hard time.
LSG, too, has a similar issue. Though they have one game left in their IPL 2024 run, their playoff dream is going to be a long shot. They have a net run rate worse than DC.
Both the teams are technically/mathematically still in the playoff race, but there aren't any solid chances for them to qualify.
In the meantime, with LSG's loss against DC, Rajasthan Royals (RR) became the second team in the IPL 2024 to qualify for the playoffs. RR is currently placed second in the IPL points table.
