Vivo IPL 2021: IPL bound South African cricketers reach UAE for the Vivo IPL 2021

Vivo IPL 2021: The Indian Premier League (IPL) bound South African cricketers have landed in the UAE after wrapping up their national duties. The likes of Quinton de Kock, Kagiso Rabada, Anrich Nortje marked their presence and have been directly included in the bio-bubble of the teams.

The aforementioned players returned after completing their international commitments with Sri Lanka. The two countries played limited-overs series in the island nation and have made a bubble to bubble transfer.

The franchises took to social media handles to inform the arrival of the Protea fire in the UAE.

Wicketkeeper-batsman Quinton de Kock represents Mumbai Indians (MI) in the IPL while Paceman Kagiso Rabada and Anrich Nortje ply their trade for Delhi Capitals (DC).

De Kock managed to score 155 runs in his first outing in the IPL 2021 from six innings at an average of 31 and a strike rate of 117. Initially, he looked out of touch however as the game progressed, he showed his real class and took his side over the lines multiple times.

Kagiso Rabada managed to scalp eight wickets from seven matches for DC in the first leg. The pacer had an economy of 8.76 in seven matches. On the other hand, Nortje didn’t get the opportunity to show his skills in the first half.

In the previous season of the IPL, Nortje was Delhi’s one of the lead pacers. He picked up 22 wickets from 16 outings and was fourth in the list of leading wicket-takers of IPL 2020.
