BCCI to allow 25% fans in the stadium for IPL 2022 till April 15

Vivo IPL 2021: In pleasing news for cricket fans across the world and especially in the UAE, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has decided to allow fans into the stadium for the upcoming second leg of the Indian Premier League.

The first half of the league was played behind closed doors and the previous IPL edition was also held in the absence of the fans, however, with the improvement in the covid-19 situation in the UAE, the cricket governing body of UAE and the BCCI has decided to bring the fans back to the stadiums.

Though a packed stadium will not be allowed to watch the match, starting will be done with a small fraction of the audience. However, the number can be increased later on, if everything goes well for the BCCI and UAE Cricket Board.

The Vivo IPL 2021 phase 2 will begin with MS Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings (CSK) squaring off with Rohit Sharma’s Mumbai Indians (MI) on 19th September at Dubai International Stadium. The fans will witness arch-rivals locking horns once again in the tournament opener.
