IPL 2023: LSG qualified for the IPL 2023 Playoffs as they defeated Kolkata by 1 run, Nicholas Pooran played a stormy inning of 67 runs with a strike rate of 193.33, whereas Ravi Bishnoi and Yash Thakur took two tickets each.

Rinku Singh played a magnificent inning and almost finished the match but lost the game by 1 run. In the last over, KKR needed 21 runs and Rinku made 20 runs only. Sunil Narine bowled a good spell and took two wickets.

In the Second Inning, Kolkata openers gave an excellent start to the team as they made 61 runs in the powerplay, but after this, they lost back to back three wickets. At this time, Lucknow got the game’s momentum, but Rinku Singh played an excellent knock of 67 runs in 33 balls with four sixes and six fours.

Rinku tried to repeat the same as he did against Gujarat Titans, and this time, he almost did it, but in the last overs, 21 runs were needed, and he made 20 runs in that over; hence KKR lost the game by one run, and Lucknow qualified for the IPL 2023 Playoffs.

A Brilliant Spell by Ravi Bishnoi:

Lucknow bowlers gave lots of runs in the starting six overs, but after that, they took some wicket comeback into the game. Ravi Bishnoi bowled a vital spell and took two wickets, and gave only 23 runs in his spell. Yash Thakur also got two wickets, whereas Gowtham and Krunal took on wickets.

In the First Inning, Lucknow changed the opening pair in this as Quinton de Kock came with Karan Sharma, but this young man couldn’t utilise this chance and got out. Quinton played a small inning of 28 runs in 27 balls, whereas Youngster Prerak Mankad scored 26 runs in 20 balls.

Nicholas Pooran showed his power-hitting abilities and knocked 58 runs in 30 balls with five sixes and four fours, and Ayush Badoni impressed a lot this season, made 25 runs in this match. Nicholas Pooran played an impactful knock and led his team to 176 runs.

Kolkata tried lots of bowlers:

Kolkata Knight Riders skipper Nitish Rana tried many bowlers to stop Nicholas Pooran as he was hitting boundaries in the key bowler’s overs. Sunil, Vaibhav and Shardul have taken two wickets each, whereas Harshit and Varun Chakaravarthy got wicket only.
