Important Players for team India in T20 World Cup 2022: The countdown for the T20 World Cup 2022 has already begun. This edition’s T20 World Cup will be held on Australian soil, starting October 16. The schedule for the competition has already been rolled out by the governing cricketing body.

The previous edition of the T20 World Cup was held in the UAE and India had to face an exit door following a timid outing in the initial few group games. The Indians lost two consecutive matches against Pakistan and New Zealand to eliminate themselves from the race of the top four.

However, this time around, the men in blue would look to avenge all the losses and bring the World Cup glory home.

Rohit Sharma, the new Indian skipper, is taking all the necessary steps and is ticking all the boxes before the start of the World Cup to pick the right players and squad for the tournament.

In the last held T20 World Cup, several new faces were picked up in the squad purely on the basis of their IPL performances, however, all of them choked and misfired in important games which eventually became one of the main reasons why India had to make an early exit from the tournament.

Rohit would be wary of this error and is therefore testing every player before the World Cup in the international arena.

India’s World Cup 2022 campaign will kickstart with the match against arch-rivals Pakistan at Melbourne Cricket Ground on October 23. The high-pressure game would be crucial for the Indian side as it will decide India’s momentum for the rest of the tournament. Moreover, the stakes would be high for the match as India had lost its previous encounter against Pakistan in the World Cup stage.

Meanwhile, in this article, we will lead you through some of the Important Players for team India in T20 World Cup 2022.

Important Players for team India in T20 World Cup 2022:

Rohit Sharma:

“Don’t want to miss any game for your country” says Rohit Sharma after getting rest for WI series

Keeping his leadership role aside for a while, Rohit Sharma is a key figure in the Indian batting lineup. Over the past few years, he has been the most influential cricketer in Indian colours. His knack for scoring big and ensuring India’s victory shows a larger picture of why he is the most important player in the Indian setup currently.

The Hitman is known to provide a solid start to the Indian innings with his sensational batting. He can accelerate the run rate and torment the opposition at will.

How often have you seen India losing a match when Rohit Sharma amasses big scores? I guess, not many times. That’s the image Rohit Sharma carries.

Moreover, his recent approach to making use of the powerplay will be key for the Indian team. Even though he couldn’t score big runs, he made sure that his team keeps up with the run rate which puts the opposition under pressure even though they keep picking timely wickets.

India missed the services of a genuine all-rounder during the last edition of the T20 World Cup. Although Hardik was available in the team, his back injury concerns kept him at a distance from bowling.

But, now Hardik is fit and is bowling regularly at a good pace. He has solved India’s biggest problem of a finisher and sixth bowling option. He is consistent with his bowling and can deliver four quality overs.

His batting is another positive for the Indian team. Hardik is a genuine batter and has the capability to play big shots and finish the game.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar:

In the last World Cup, India failed to produce breakthroughs at the start of the innings. Restricting the opposition to score at a good rate and removing their opening batters gives an added advantage to the teams which India missed in the T20 World Cup 2021.

As seen in the last few T20I series’, Bhuvneshwar Kumar has been magnificent in his initial spell. He has been successful in extracting swing through the air and forcing the batter to make mistakes.

If he continues his form till the World Cup 2022, India will get a big benefit from that.
