Vivo IPL 2021: Eoin Morgan explains Dinesh Karthik’s role in the KKR set-up.

Vivo IPL 2021: Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) skipper Eoin Morgan ahead of their opening clash against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) explains the role of Dinesh Karthik in the KKR set up. Karthik handed over the reins of KKR to English cricketer Eoin Morgan midway through the 2020 IPL season in UAE.

Morgan said that Karthik offers huge support to him whenever needed. Whether it is on the field or off the field, he is always ready to assist and support whenever needed.

“He offers a huge amount of support to me on the pitch and off the field as well. Very grateful that he is in good form and in our team,” Morgan told kkr.in

The 34-years old English Cricketer further stated that Dinesh Karthik is in fine touch and is hitting well in the nets lately. He has trained hard and will surely do well in the IPL season ahead for KKR.

“DK offers a lot with the bat and behind the stumps. He has been in fine form, and he is always one of those players who if you watch him train and particularly bat, he times the ball beautifully and hits the ball further than most of the guys,” Morgan said.

Eoin Morgan and Co. will face David Warner’s Sunrisers Hyderabad on 12th April in Chennai’s MA Chidambaram stadium to kickstart their IPL 2021 campaign.
