DC vs RR: Not David Warner! Aakash Chopra picks this player who can stop Ashwin and Chahal

Former India cricketer Aakash Chopra picked his player to watch out for in the DC vs RR game in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. He believes that Rishabh Pant will be in focus and not he can stop the duo of R Ashwin and Yuzvendra Chahal.?

The DC vs RR game is all set to take place on Tuesday (May 7th) in the Indian Premier League. It will be an extremely crucial game for the Delhi Capitals as for them a win would keep them in the hunt for the playoffs.  While for Rajasthan, a win would ensure them a playoff spot. 

Delhi Capitals skipper Rishabh Pant would be keen to make an impact with both bat as well as a leader for the team. The keeper-batter has been magnificent in the league and is the main reason behind the success of his team in the IPL 2024. 

The DC vs RR game will be a great opportunity for Rishabh Pant to extend his good run in the tournament. He also would be under pressure to perform because a loss for the Delhi Capitals would dent their chances for the playoffs.?

Aakash Chopra believes that Rishabh Pant will be a key player in the DC vs RR game. He urged the batter to go up the order and claimed that he should play freely. Speaking in a video posted on his YouTube channel, he added: 

"It is impossible to go beyond Rishabh Pant. I am firstly hoping that Rishabh comes to bat slightly up the order and secondly, he shouldn't do what he was doing in the last match. In the last match, it seemed like he was adamant that he would play only odd shots until he got out.?

Aakash Chopra further added that Delhi Capitals being the home ground for Rishabh Pant and backed him to play an incredible knock in the DC vs RR game. He believes that he can attack the Rajasthan spinners. He added:?

"However, this is his home. So Rishabh Pant, this is your ground and stage, make it your own. Play an incredible knock because both Ashwin and Chahal will be in the opposition. Only you can stop Ashwin and Chahal and hit them.?

Rishabh Pant so far has amassed 398 runs at a strike rate of 158.56 in 11 innings in IPL 2024.
