Chris Jordan and Adam Milne also injured as CSK runs into more trouble in IPL 2022: Chennai Super Kings (CSK) seems to be in a lot more trouble of late after two of their premier overseas fast bowlers have been facing their respective issues. England’s Chris Jordan was admitted to the Mumbai Hospital while Kiwi pacer Adam Milne is still recovering from his injury.

As per reports, England pacer Chris Jordan is suffering from a tonsil infection owing to which he was admitted to the hospital in Mumbai on March 26. He will remain there for at least six days.

Meanwhile, Adam Milne, who played his first IPL 2022 match against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), has also sustained an injury. Due to the injury, Milne was rested in CSK’s second match against Lucknow Super Giants.

The issues with both the overseas pacers will be a concern for the yellow brigade as they look to end their losing streak and open their account in the Tata IPL 2022. CSK has lost both of its matches in the ongoing edition of the IPL, primarily because of their weak bowling.

The franchise would hope to see both the aforementioned pacers back to the squad as soon as possible.

Notably, Deepak Chahar is also going to take a few more weeks time for his comprehensive recovery from the right quadriceps injury that he sustained during the recent West Indies tour of India. Chahar, though, has begun his bowling drills at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) Bangalore, he will get clearance to play in the IPL 2022 only after he poses himself as fit for the high profile action.

With three of CSK pacers being injured and unavailable, the franchise has been using the services of rookie Tushar Deshpande and Mukesh Chowdhury. Both the bowlers tried their best to deliver a quality performance against Lucknow Super Giants, however, all their efforts went in vain as LSG batters took them over the ropes quite easily.

The Ravindra Jadeja-led Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will next play against Mayank Agarwal’s Punjab Kings on April 3 in the Brabourne Stadium. The franchise is expected to appear with same bowling combination in the match due to unavailability of other players.
