Yash Dhull eager to learn from Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant: IPL 2022: Yash Dhull, who recently took team India U19 to the title victory against England, says he is excited to be a part of the Tata Indian Premier League. Dhull was the captain of India in the U19 World Cup 2022 in the Caribbean.

The Delhi batter smashed a century against Australia in the semi-final which came at a crucial time.

19-years old Yash Dhull was pocketed by Delhi Capitals (DC) for INR 50 Lakhs in the Tata IPL 2022 Mega Auction. His base price was INR 20 Lakhs.

The youngster is extremely excited to play under the leadership of Rishabh Pant in Delhi Capitals in the upcoming IPL 2022. Dhull loves how Pant encourages his teammates with his funny chatter from behind the stumps.

“Rishabh bhaiya is a great motivator and a very good captain. I want to learn the nuances of a leadership role from him. He is so energetic on the field. The way he enjoys his game and keeps motivating and encouraging his teammates from behind the wickets is amazing,” said Yash Dhull in an interview with TimesofIndia.com.

Want to learn a lot from Virat Kohli: Yash Dhull

He further expressed his keenness to learn several aspects of the game from former Indian skipper Virat Kohli. Dhull said he wants to learn how Virat keeps himself calm and composed in difficult situations.

“I am eager to meet Virat bhaiya. He has been my inspiration. I have always idolized him. I want to interact with him and take a lot of tips from him. I want to ask him how he bats in a crunch and high-pressure games, how he manages to control his mind, and how he took his fitness to another level.”

The cricketer further said that he is keen to learn how he kept his players pressure-free during his captaincy period.

“I have led the Under-19 team but the way Virat bhaiya handled his team and players was amazing. I want to ask him how he managed his team and ensured his players stay pressure-free so that they can put in their best performances.”

Rishabh Pant-led Delhi Capitals (DC) will begin their Tata IPL 2022 campaign on March 27th against Mumbai Indians (MI) at Brabourne Stadium.
