Virat-Gambhir Fight: Two Delhi boys, Virat and Gambhir, once again engaged in a heated verbal argument after RCB beat LSG at Lucknow’s Ekana Stadium refreshing the 10-year-old bitter memories of these two on the field. Following the brawl, Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir are fined 100% and Naveen-Ul-Haq is fined 50% of the match fee.

The story begins somewhere in the middle of 2nd innings when a stare-war was seen between Virat Kohli and Naveen-ul-Haq, a few arguments were being made between Amit Mishra and Virat Kohli, Naveen-Siraj event and I reckon all had a common reason. RCB won the low-scoring match by 18 runs and took revenge at Ekana Stadium for their loss against LSG at M. Chinnaswamy.

After the RCB victory, when players were shaking hands, another heated exchange was observed between Naveen-ul-Haq and Virat Kohli which was then cooled down by Glenn Maxwell.

Kyle Mayers and Virat were having a discussion when Gautam intervenes and they were then involved in a verbal argument that was never going to be on the good side of cricket and themselves. Following that, a mess broke out as Gambhir was seen approaching Kohli aggressively while being restrained by his teammates, including the injured captain KL Rahul and Amit Mishra. When the two began to argue, Kohli was seen trying to soothe the issue and Gambhir down, but prior to things de-escalating, Amit Mishra intervened and the two were separated.

Virat, Gambhir, and Naveen were charged fines

Both of them were subsequently fined 100% and Naveen-ul-Haq was fined 50% of their match fees after admitting to Level 2 offenses in IPL’s Code of Conduct.IPL released a statement on this matter.

Kohli had seemed extra animated throughout the fielding innings as RCB successfully defended 126 in an away match that had more crowd support for the visitors than the hosts. He was seen gesturing to the crowd after taking a catch to dismiss Krunal Pandya, possibly in response to Gambhir’s gestures in the last match between the two sides in Bengaluru which LSG won by 1 wicket.
