ICC T20 World Cup 2022 Team Predictions

Numerous analyses and predictions are already shared by experts and fans regarding how teams will be performing this season. Take a look at how likely these top teams will perform:

Australia

Australia is the defending champions this season and is unsurprisingly one of the favorites this year. The team is led by Aaron Finch and seems to have the best batting lineup with names like Green, Glenn Maxwell, Matthew Wade, and Marcus Stoinis.

Australia has quite an advantage this year because they will be playing in their backyard. Historically, Australia has always been dominating home matches.

However, Australia seems to lack world-class spinners this season. This can negatively impact their performance. We can only hope that the team’s assets like world-class pace bowlers like Mitchell Starc, Kane Richardson, and Josh Hazlewood will be creating a great impact this year.

India

India has always been a favorite when it comes to big international cricket tournaments like the T20 World Cup. After all, India is where cricket is most popular, and the country has produced some of the best cricketers of all time.

Last year was tough for the team, but we might see them do better this year with a new captain, Rohit Sharma. The infamous Virat Kohli will still be playing this year and he’s known for being fearless. Many sportsbooks are already listing India as one of the top contenders this year.

Bowling appears to be a challenging part for the team, so unless they work on this before this season, this might be their downfall.

England

England is also seen with a great chance of winning this year’s tournament. The team is led by Eoin Morgan who dominated last season. Unfortunately, the team was unable to defeat New Zealand during the semi-final.

The team has multi-dimensional players with a mix of young and experienced players, which could make them fight with brutality this year. Aside from Morgan, we also have players like Jos Buttler.

However, one of the team’s remarkable players is still on an indefinite break because of mental health. Ben Stokes is one of their primary run-scorers and not having him on the field can make a great challenge.

Pakistan

Pakistan may be a bit unpredictable when it comes to their performances. This year, many can’t help but think how well they will be performing because of its captain, Babar Azam who’ll be playing alongside Mohammad Rizwan and Fakhar Zaman.

These three are the team’s alas when it comes to batting. Regarding bowling, they also seem to have a decent lineup this year with names like Shaheen Afridi and Usman Qadir.

Now, Pakistan has great starters and bowlers, but the middle order could be a concern this season. The team’s middle order is very talented, but it’s undeniable that they lack experience. After all, batters like Shoaib Malik and Mohammad Hafeez are already out of the picture.

Who Will Win the 2022 T20 World Cup?

The teams we mentioned above are currently the favorites based on opinions and sportsbooks. Australia playing at home gives them the advantage to reach the mega final on November 13, but we can’t ignore how other teams like India, England, and Pakistan have great lineups too.

It’s hard to conclude that Australia will once again win the World Cup this year, so we can only wait and see how the tournament unfolds.
