Suryakumar Yadav likely to be ruled out of the MIvsDC fixture on March 27th in IPL 2022: Mumbai Indians (MI) batter Suryakumar Yadav is highly likely to miss his IPL team’s first fixture against Rishabh Pant-led Delhi Capitals (DC) on March 27th owing to his untimely injury. The batter sustained a thumb injury during the white-ball series against West Indies, last month.

Currently, Suryakumar Yadav is undergoing his rehabilitation program at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) Bangalore with the BCCI’s medical team.

Rohit Sharma-spearheaded Mumbai Indians (MI) will face Delhi Capitals (DC) on March 27th in an afternoon fixture at the Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai.

The cricketer himself, recently, provided an update on his injury, as he tweeted, “Work in progress.”

Since his outing against West Indies, Yadav is constantly working hard to regain his fitness and recover from the injury. The National Cricket Academy (NCA) will issue a clearance certificate to the cricketer following his recovery.

With three days quarantine protocol, Yadav will have to miss the opening match on 27th March. Moreover, he won’t be having any proper match practice, nor any training sessions which would further be a concern for Mumbai Indians (MI).

While the reports have explicitly covered that Suryakumar Yadav will miss the MIvsDC fixture, Rohit Sharma denied providing any update on the availability of the cricketer during the virtual press conference on Wednesday.
