Points Table, Orange Cap, Purple Cap in IPL 2022 – Updated List April 8

Points Table, Orange Cap, Purple Cap in IPL 2022 – Updated List April 8: The rankings table of the Tata Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 is taking big turns with each passing game. In the latest development, KL Rahul-led Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) have climbed up to the second position in the points table after they registered their third straight win of the tournament.

Delhi Capitals (DC) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) faced each other in match number 15 of the IPL 2022. Delhi struggled to put up an above-par total in the DY Patil Stadium against LSG.

Rishabh Pant and co could only manage to score 149 runs in their quota of 20 overs. Besides opener Prithvi Shaw, who scored an elegant 61 off 34 balls, every other DC player looked rough and rusty.

Lucknow spinners Krishnappa Gowtham and Ravi Bishnoi kept the opposition guessing and never allowed them to take off their innings. The former picked a solitary wicket while the latter spinner grabbed two under his belt.

Owing to some good efforts from Rishabh Pant (39 runs off 36 balls) and Sarfaraz Khan (36 runs from 28 balls) at the end, Delhi managed to set a total of 150 runs in 20 overs.

In pursuit of a modest total, LSG openers played beautifully to lead an easy run chase. Both the openers scored 73 runs before the dismissal of KL Rahul.

Quinton de Kock scored 80 runs and took his franchise as close to the total as possible. Meanwhile, the rest of the work was done by Deepak Hooda, Krunal Pandya and Ayush Badoni.

This article will take you through the Updated List of Points Table, Orange Cap, Purple Cap in the Tata Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022.
