Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have come across each other 31 times in the Indian T20 league and the former has proved its mettle on most occasions. Rohit Sharma-led Mumbai Indians have sealed wins on 20 matches while MS Dhoni’s CSK could manage to win 13 games.

If we talk about the last seven outings between the two teams, Mumbai Indians have ruthlessly trounced their eternal rivals and became triumphant on six occasions while CSK won just a solitary match.

In the last match between MI and CSK in Delhi’s Arun Jaitley Stadium, the last ball thriller picked Mumbai Indians as a winning side following Kieron Pollard’s heroics. Though there were several talking moments that were enough to raise CSK’s hands as a winning team, however, MI chased down the mammoth total to make it their biggest ever chase in history owing to Pollard’s breathtaking hitting.

“I am putting my neck on the block, you can make the memes. I am going with Mumbai Indians to win.”

He further stated that finger spinners will have an edge over wrist spinner in the match. Both the teams have good spin options. Mumbai Indians have the likes of Piyush Chawla, Rahul Chahar, Jayant Yadav and Krunal Pandya while CSK possesses Imran Tahir, Ravindra Jadeja and Moeen Ali.

“Finger spinners to pick more wickets than wrist spinners. You might see Tahir and Chawla play, Rahul Chahar will surely play. But Moeen Ali and Jaddu will do a fairly good job on this big ground. They will be taking more wickets.”

Furthermore, the cricket expert said that both the teams would love to play it with caution and free-flowing shots will be limited in the initial overs.

“The first boundary to be scored within the first ten balls. I am expecting a bit of caution – an inside edge or outside edge or a boundary on the legs. I don’t think you will see free-flowing cricket right at the outset. Everybody might just start with a bit of caution.”

The surface will have good assistance for the pacers due to the fact that the pitch will be hard and will have enough grass. The pitch will be fresh and will be keen on aiding gun bowling.

“The first wicket will surely fall in the first four overs, it is possible two might also fall. The last time when the first match was played in Dubai, the pitch was hard and had grass, there was a lot of sideways movement available. Even though you might play cautiously, despite that Deepak Chahar, Bumrah or Boult – whoever bowls, they will still get you out.”
