Vivo IPL 2021: The runner-ups of the IPL 2020, Delhi Capitals (DC) recently announced that the franchise would retain the services of wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant as the captain of the side in the remainder of the entire Vivo IPL 2021.

The cricketing fraternity was anticipating the decision to back Pant as the team has done invariably well under him. The stand-in skipper led DC for the first time and put them in first place in the points table of the IPL 2021 phase one.

Earlier, the reports suggested that Pant will be backed by the management after seeing the performance of the team under him. Delhi Capitals (DC) is leading the points table followed by Chennai Super Kings (CSK), Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Mumbai Indians (MI).

“JSW-GMR co-owned Delhi Capitals today announced that Rishabh Pant will continue as Captain for the remainder of the #IPL2021 season. #YehHaiNayiDilli,” wrote Delhi Capitals (DC) in a Twitter tweet to announce the development.
