IPL 2024 Points Table: Rajasthan Royals (RR) move to the top of the IPL 2024 Points Table with their win against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at the Sawai Man Singh Stadium in Jaipur. Sanju Samson and Co registered a 20-run win over KL Rahul’s Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) to open their account in the Indian T20 tournament.
The Royals amassed 193 runs in the loss of four wickets in the first innings against LSG. The team saw meaty performances off the blade of skipper Sanju Samson, who struck an unbeaten 82 runs off 52 deliveries, and Riyan Parag, who was dismissed 7 runs shy of his well-deserved half-century in 29 deliveries.
Earlier in the innings, Yashasvi Jaiswal contributed with 12-ball 24. Jurel, on the other side, capped Rajasthan’s innings with an unbeaten 12-ball 20 against LSG.
Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), though, were well-poised in the fixture but got derailed towards the end with the wicket of skipper KL Rahul. LSG fell 20 runs short of the target, despite having well-set Nicholas Pooran in the crease, who was unbeaten at 64 runs in 41 deliveries.
Skipper KL Rahul scored 58 runs in 44 deliveries, which included four boundaries and two maximums. Besides, Deepak Hooda contributed with 12-ball 26 midway through the innings.
