Mitchell Marsh Injured, Doubtful for IPL 2022:

Mitchell Marsh, the star Australian all-rounder injured himself on Sunday while training for the Australian national team. Marsh has been ruled out of the One-day international series against Pakistan. His history of injuries is very long. This adds to the vows of the Delhi Capitals in IPL 2022 who currently have only 2 overseas players on the roster.

“He’s injured his hip flexor, we think, at training. We are going to have to wait and see what that looks like but I don’t think he’ll be available for the series based on how he was feeling yesterday,” Finch told reporters when asked about his availability.

“He sustained that in a fielding drill, it was a high intensity, lateral movement drill and he bent down to pick it up one-handed and went to throw and felt a twinge.”, Finch added. The ODI series between Pakistan and Australia begins on the 29th of March, Tuesday.

Mitchell Marsh Stats:

Mitchell Marsh is one of the most improved cricketers in recent times. Last year (2021) Marsh became the Australian batter to score maximum runs in a year in the T20I format. Marsh also played a crucial role in the ICC T20 World Cup 2021. He was a breakthrough performer in the semi-final and the final.

He averaged 39.44 in the year 2021 at a strike rate of 139. Marsh was associated with the Sunrisers Hyderabad. He has been a consistent name on the list of injured players. It was his hamstring that left him out of action for the last two years but this time it is the hip injury. Delhi Capitals will now be keen on finding a replacement for the Australian batter.
