IPL 2021: Mumbai Indians signs Parthiv Patel as Talent Scout.

IPL 2021: Soon after the retirement of the Indian wicketkeeper-batsman, Parthiv Patel joined Mumbai Indians as a talent scout. The Gujrat batsman was signed by Defending Champions Mumbai Indians on Thursday as a talent scout for the franchise.

Patel on Wednesday announced his retirement from all forms of cricket, drawing curtains to his cricketing career. He had served the country and his state for long 18 years during his career.

Parthiv Patel has been part of 25 Test games, 38 ODIs, and 2 Twenty20 Internationals amassing a total of over 1600 runs.

The former wicketkeeper-batsman brings a vast domestic and international cricketing experience with him. He has been into the field for over two decades and has close understandings of fast-paced IPL competition,” Aakash Ambani in a statement.

The most successful franchise will leave no stone unturned for the hattrick to the title victory and felt delighted after signing Patel as a scout.

MI had an opportunity in the past to use his cricketing brain during his playing days and we believe his experience will bring a lot more understanding and depth to our scouting system.”

Parthiv understands and knows what the Mumbai Indians wants and what our ideologies are.”

The former batsman was the part of Mumbai Indians franchise for three years. He has lifted IPL Titles two times, 2015 and 2017.

The recently retired cricketer said that he is thankful for the opportunity and start the new innings here onwards.

I had enjoyed my cricketing days for Mumbai Indians, those momentous three years with the champion side remain etched in my memory. It’s the time now to turn a page in my career. I am very excited as well as confident to bring up best to the opportunity given to me by the franchise.

The former Mumbai Indians player will now work closely with the scouting team for the future.
