Indian skipper Virat Kohli got his first dose of Covid-19 vaccine, urges everyone to take theirs.

Indian team skipper Virat Kohli on Monday shared a story on his social media handle of him getting vaccinated. This is Kohli’s first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine. The skipper also urged all his fans, supporters and all the people of the country to take their shots of vaccine at the earliest when their turn comes.

Pacer Ishant Sharma also took to twitter to announce that he too got his first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine on Monday. 

“Vaccination Done. Thankful for this and grateful for all the essential workers. Happy to see the smooth running of the facility & management. Let’s all get vaccinated at the earliest,” wrote the pacer on his twitter.

Last Week, Virat Kohli and his actor wife Anushka Sharma announced that the duo will start a fundraiser campaign in which INR 2 Crores will be donated by them and also urged all the people to make their contributions and help the country fight this dreaded pandemic.

The repose the duo received for the campaign was overwhelming as the fundraiser collected INR 3.6 Crores in less than 24 hours.

It is noteworthy that the BCCI has advised all the Indian players named in the Test squad for the England tour to take their first shot of the Covid-19 vaccine as soon as possible. Virat Kohli and Ishant Sharma have taken their first dosage however the others have registered and will take their shot soon.

India contingent will board a flight to the United Kingdom on June 2 for a three months long marathon tour which consists of five Test games against England and a marquee final of the inaugural ICC World Test CHampionship.
