The tender for hosting the Asia Cup in 2023 was awarded to Pakistan. The Pakistan Cricket Board is very keen on hosting the tournament in Pakistan. Earlier, such multi-national tournaments hosted by the PCB were exclusively held in the UAE. But now that cricket has slowly and steadily shifted to Pakistan, the Asia Cup is also expected to be held there.
Indian Government to Take Final Call:
The Indian Government takes the final call in such cases. The BCCI has passed a notice permitting the Indian team to visit the neighboring nation, but the government is yet to give a clearance. Earlier, the BCCI’s stand was also crystal clear. The BCCI was also on a “No-Go” policy. With that being said, one of the BCCI officials has reported the following, ” It will be subject to the clearance of the Government of India as always.”
Jay Shah happens to be the President of the Asian Cricket Council, and this council has given the “go-ahead” to the PCB for hosting the Asia Cup 2023 in Pakistan. This indicates that the BCCI is also interested in allowing the Indian cricket team. This will help the sport grow.

The ICC 2023 is one event that India is very keen on winning. The Indian team has been putting in special efforts to groom players exclusively for the 2023 World Cup.
