Pakistan players were the centre of attraction in the Hundred 2026 auction.
The Hundred 2026 Auction took place on Thursday, March 12. With Indian Premier League (IPL) owners taking over the majority of stakes in the league, this year marked the first-ever auction in the history of the league.
The Hundred 2026 auction saw as many as 243 players going under the hammer and only 80 fetching the bids by the eight franchises.

Pakistan players were the centre of attraction in the Hundred 2026 auction. Ahead of the auction, it was reported that franchises won’t be picking Pakistan players. But the ECB released the statement and added that such things won’t happen.
A total of 14 players from Pakistan were shortlisted for the auction. Earlier, two women players in Fatima Sana and Sadia Iqbal, with a base price of £15,000 each went unsold and something similar was expected in the men’s auction.
The auction pool included top names like Shadab Khan, Haris Rauf, Saim Ayub, Mohammad Amir, and others. However, only two of the 14 men’s cricketers found a deal at the auction.
