The excitement is building for the T20 World Cup 2024. The tournament is all set to take place in the United States of America and the Carribean. The dates for the tournament have been finalised and the event is set to take place from 4th June to 30th and a total of 20 teams will take part in the tournament this time.

With all the excitement about the T20 World Cup 2024, reports in Sports Tak have revealed the India schedule for the upcoming tournament. The Men in Blue are all set to play their league stage fixtures in the United States of America across two venues. 

As per the reports, India will open their campaign in T20 World Cup 2024 against Ireland on 5th June. The match will take place in New York. After that, it will be time for the much-anticipated clash between the arch-rivals in India vs Pakistan

India vs Pakistan game will be played on 9th June and New York will be host to the biggest game in the tournament. The Men in Blue will then take on hosts United States of America on 12th June at the same venue before moving to Florida to play Canada on 15th June.

Here’s India’s likely schedule in T20 World Cup 2024: 

India vs Ireland on June 5th. 
India vs Pakistan on June 9th. 
India vs USA on June 12th. 
India vs Canada on June 15th.

The reports also suggested that if India qualifies for the Super 8 stage then they will be playing all their games in the Caribbean. The first match of their super stage in the T20 World Cup 2024 will be played June 20 in Barbados.

Recently reports in the PTI suggested that BCCI will be monitoring 30 players during the IPL. And from that lot of players, they will pick 15 players for the T20 World Cup 2024. The upcoming few months will be crucial in Indian cricket because they would be keen to win the tournament, having lost all the ICC tournaments since 2013.

There were also reports which suggested that Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli expressed their strong desire to play in the T20 World Cup 2024. It remains to be seen what will be the future of two seniors for the event.
