Babar Azam lands in support of Virat Kohli amid criticism for his poor form

Afghanistan batter Rahmanullah Gurbaz has picked who has the best cover drive between Virat Kohli and Babar Azam. The keeper-batter however, didn’t hesitate and named Kohli cover’s drive as the best in the world. 

In modern-day cricket, it’s fair to say that very few have mastered the art of cover drive. Virat Kohli and Babar Azam are surely the two who have aced his shot. Both the batters have scored plenty of runs with this shot and have had huge success while playing this shot. 

Over the years there has been a huge debate about who has the best cover drive between Babar Azam and Virat Kohli. Many players, fans, and experts have given their take on the same and it’s fair to say that it’s hard to judge who among them has better cover drive in world cricket.

In the game of cricket, cover drive no doubt is the most beautiful shot in the game of cricket. The icons of the game in  Sachin Tendulkar and Kumar Sangakkara were the two who were known for playing this shot to perfection. 

Now in the current generation, Virat Kohli’s cover drive is rated as the best. Babar Azam is not too far behind. For Gurbaz, India’s batter is ahead of the former Pakistan skipper in terms of playing this shot.

Virat Kohli and Babar Azam will be next seen in action during Tests against South Africa and Australia respectively. India will be taking on South Africa in the two-Test series, starting 26th January. Kohli is expected to play a huge role in the series and if India has to fancy their chances of winning the first series there, the batter has to play a huge role. 

Babar Azam on the other hand will be seen in action during the Test series against Australia. The three-match series between teams will begin from 14th December. Babar has a decent record down under and would be hoping to help his team win the series.
