ICC T20 World Cup 2024 Dates Announced [June 4-30], USA and West Indies will Host: The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced that the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 will be held in the United States and the West Indies from June 4 to 30, 2024. This will be the first time that the T20 World Cup has been hosted in the United States.

The ICC has yet to release the full schedule for the tournament, but it is expected that most of the matches will be played in the United States. The West Indies will likely host some of the early group-stage matches and the final. It is expected that ten venues will be shortlisted for the tournament.

Ireland and Scotland have qualified for the tournament, along with Papua New Guinea. West Indies and the USA have qualified as host nations, whereas Australia, England, India, Netherlands, New Zealand, Pakistan, South Africa, and Sri Lanka qualified as the top 8 teams from the previous edition.

Bangladesh and Afghanistan qualified for the T20 World Cup 2024 as they had a good ranking in the ICC T20 standings after pre-qualified teams. England is the defending champions, and they defeated Pakistan in the ICC T20 World Cup 2022 final.

Five remaining spots will be filled by regional qualifiers, two from Asia, two from Africa, and one from America. The tournament format will be different for the T20 World Cup 2024.

ICC T20 World Cup 2024 will follow new format:

The ICC T20 World Cup 2024 will feature 20 teams; previously, there were 16 teams. All the teams will be divided into four groups of five, with the top two teams from each group will move to the Super 8 Round.

The eight teams in the Super 8 Round will be divided into two groups of four, with the top two teams from each group will move to the semi-finals. The semi-final winners will play in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 final.

The ICC T20 World Cup 2024 is expected to be a closely contested tournament. India and Australia will be the favorites, but there are teams like England, Pakistan, and New Zealand, who can give tough competition to others.
