IPL 2022 – CSK vs KKR:
KKR won the flip of the coin and opted to field first. Chennai Super Kings (CSK) couldn’t get off to a good start as both the openers were dismissed cheaply. Orange Cap winner of IPL 2021, Ruturaj Gaikwad recorded a duck while Kiwi recruit of CSK, Devon Conway could only score 3 rusty runs from eight deliveries.
Robin Uthappa looked in a solid touch but was stumped by Sheldon Jackson. Uthappa scored 28 from 21 balls.
Soon after Uthappa’s dismissal, CSK suffered a debacle. In no time, CSK was reduced to 61 in the loss of 5 wickets inside 11 overs.
The yellow brigade, owing to valiant efforts from veteran MS Dhoni, managed to put up a respectable total of 132 runs in 20 overs. Dhoni played a magnificent knock of unbeaten 50 runs from 38 deliveries to give a glimmer of hopes to the CSK fans.
Currently, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) are chasing a total of 132 runs and they are at 25 runs in 4 overs.
Ajinkya Rahane – 17 runs from 15 (unbeaten), Venkatesh Iyer – 8 runs from 9 balls (unbeaten).
