IPL 2023 is nearing! The IPL 2022 season ended on a high note with the Gujarat Titans getting their hands on the gold. Every season brings in a new sort of excitement and a new sort of enthusiasm. The team owners start every season with a new jest to win the cup. So, who are the big men who mean business in this league? Who are the companies that have invested the big bucks in making this league happen? Here is a look: 

1) Mumbai Indians: Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani are Franchise Owners in IPL 2023:

The owners of the most successful franchise in the league happen to be the second-richest family in India. Mukesh and Nita Ambani are some of the most down-to-earth people. The Ambanis have invested a lot in Indian sports. Their venture ISL happens to be one of the top footballing leagues in the country. The current net worth is 83.6 billion dollars. They have effectively promoted many social causes via the Mumbai Indians franchise. 

2) Rajasthan Royals: Manoj Badale and Lachlan Murdoch are Franchise Owners in IPL 2023:

Manoj Badale has been associated with the Rajasthan Royals since the first season. He has had co-owners for the franchise who had immense face value. The likes of Raj Kundra and Shilpa Shetty created the buzz around this franchise. The current net worth of Manoj Badale is 160 million dollars.  

3) Chennai Super Kings: Chennai Super Kings Cricket Limited: 

N Srinivasan was the owner of this franchise earlier but since launching CSK Pvt Ltd, the operations have become completely formal. This company had also released a few of its shares in the market. The current valuation of the company is between 300 Crores to 500 Crores (Indian Rupees). Its different ventures also include sporting academies and other franchises. CSK will want to win IPL 2023

The RPSG group is a very well-known investor in Indian Sports. They started with the Rising Pune Super Giant. Once that team was dissolved Sanjiv Goenka was keen on getting back into the business. He also has invested in Mohun Bagan, one of India’s top football clubs. The current net worth of Sanjiv Goenka is 6 billion USD.  

5) Gujarat Titans: CVC Capitals Partners Pvt Ltd.:  

The CVC Capitals have invested big bucks in the Gujarat Titans. This management seems to have promoted a very healthy culture in the team as it won its very first league in its debut season. The CVC Capitals have previously invested in F1 Racing teams. Their current valuation including all their assets is 123 billion USD. 

6) Sunrisers Hyderabad: Kalanithi Maran is a Franchise Owner in IPL 2023:

The Sunrisers Hyderabad is owned by the owner of Sun TV! Kalanithi Maran, the one who runs one of South India’s and Western India’s top private TV broadcasting channels, has invested in the Sunrisers Hyderabad. His current market value is 4 Billion dollars. 

7) Royal Challengers Bangalore: 

The Royal Challengers Bangalore had the most flashy and flamboyant owners at the beginning of this league. It was Vijay Mallya. But the owner has now changed. Today, the RCB franchise falls under Diego Spirits PVT Ltd. This company makes spirits. It is India’s largest alcohol producer and second largest in the world in terms of volume. The current worth of this company is 76 billion USD. 

8) Punjab Kings:

The Punjab Kings fall under Preity Zinta, Mohit Burman, Karan Paul, and Ness Wadia. The 4 have combined ownership of this franchise. With almost equal share for each partner. The current market value of Preity Zinta is 15 million USD. The net worth of Mohit Burman is 1.5 billion USD. 

9) Kolkata Knight Riders:

KKR is co-owned by Shahrukh Khan and Jay Mehta. The net worth of Shahrukh Khan, the King of Bollywood is 450 million USD. While that of Jay Mehta is 7 to 8 million USD. 

10) Delhi Capitals: Parth Jindal is a Franchise Owner in IPL 2023: 

The JSW owns Delhi Capitals. The Jindal family-run business is growing four-fold by the day and the Delhi Capitals seems to have a perfect owner in Parth Jindal. Parth is not only an avid fan of the game but understands the game very well. The current value of him and his company is 706.3 crore Indian rupees.
