WPL 2024 Final: Last year’s finalists, the Delhi Capitals, led by Meg Lanning, are all set to lock horns against Smriti Mandhana led Royal Challengers Bangalore in the final of WPL 2024 today at Delhi’s Arun Jaitley Stadium. This is the second appearance of the Delhi Capitals in the final of the WPL, having played in last year’s final as well against the Mumbai Indians. On the other hand, this is the first Women’s Premier League final appearance of the Royal Challengers Bangalore, having defeated reigning champions the Mumbai Indians in the eliminator game on Friday.
In the final of WPL 2023, the Delhi Capitals came close to lifting the title but fell short against the Mumbai Indians. The Meg Lanning led team would be looking to change the outcome this time around by defeating the Smriti Mandhana led RCB and lift the first ever trophy for the Delhi based franchise.
On the other hand, the Royal Challengers Bangalore would be looking to capitalise on the opportunities they have created till now and lift their maiden WPL title by defeating Delhi Capitals in the final tonight.
