The journey of Defending champions Royal Challengers Bangalore's (RCB) has come to an end in the Tata Women's Premier League (WPL) 2025. In the match played in Lucknow on Saturday, UP Warriors made a big play by defeating RCB by 12 runs. This is the fifth consecutive defeat of the Smriti Mandhana-led team in this tournament. Earlier, UP became the first team to be eliminated from the current tournament. At the same time, this defeat of RCB allowed Mumbai Indians to reach the playoffs.

UP made the highest score of WPL.

After winning the toss and then batting first, UP scored 225 runs for the loss of five wickets in 20 overs on the basis of Georgia Wall's unbeaten innings of 99 runs. This is the highest score in the first innings in the Women's Premier League. In reply, RCB could only score 213 runs in 19.3 overs and were all out. Richa Ghosh scored 69 runs for them.

RCB batsmen were disappointing

RCB did not have a great start while chasing the target. Captain Smriti Mandhana was out after scoring just four runs. Matt Henry made her his victim. After this, Ecclestone got Sabaneni Meghna caught out. She returned to the pavilion after scoring 27 runs. Richa Ghosh performed well for RCB in this match. She scored 69 runs in 33 balls. Apart from her, Alice Perry scored 28, Raghavi Bisht scored 14, Kanika Ahuja scored eight, Georgia Wareham scored 17, Charlie Dean scored nine, Kim Garth scored three*, Sneh Rana scored 26 and Renuka Singh scored one run. For UP, Sophie Ecclestone and Deepti Sharma took three wickets each while Chinelli Henry got two successes. At the same time, Anjali Saravani got one wicket.

Harris and Voll gave a good start to the UP Warriorz

UP had a great start in this match. Grace Harris and Georgia Wall shared a 77-run partnership for the first wicket. Harris was run out after scoring 39 runs. After this, Kiran Navgire took over. Both shared a 71-run partnership in 31 balls for the second wicket. Georgia Wareham scored 46 runs at a strike rate of 287.50. 

Voll played a sensational knock

Georgia Voll's bat roared in this match. She scored 99* runs in 56 balls with the help of 17 fours and a six and with this knock, she equalled the record of RCB's Sophie Devine (99 runs), scoring the highest number of runs in a single innings in the WPL. Apart from the 21-year-old Australian batsman, Chinelle Henry scored 19, Sophie Ecclestone scored 13 and Deepti Sharma scored one run. For RCB, Georgia Wareham took two wickets and Charlie Dean took one wicket.
