Interestingly Kishan also denied an IPL contract of INR 7 Crores from Ahmedabad and opted to go to the auction table. Several experts believe that MI is certainly going to bid heavily for the youngster in the IPL and the wicketkeeper-batsman might again end up with his original franchise.

“I’m expecting him to do really well this year because there is a spark about him, and he’s got a huge presence at the crease. He’s big built, a bit like Yusuf Pathan. You know, Yusuf Pathan in his prime when he was batting, he had that presence about him at the crease, and I find a little bit of that in Shahrukh Khan,”  he said.

Khan was associated with Punjab Kings (PBKS) in the IPL 2021. The franchise got his rights by shelling out INR 5.25 Crores. Ahead of the mega auction, as expected, PBKS released Shahrukh Khan and the youngster will head to the auction table to find his new franchise.
