Things are not going right for Delhi Capitals in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023. They are yet to open their account in the league as they have suffered two-disappointing losses in their first two games. In the first game against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), they suffered a massive 50-run loss. It was expected that they would turn things around at their home game against Gujarat Titans. But this wasn’t the case as they bagged a 6-wicket loss in their second game. However, it still baby steps in the tournament and they need to look at the areas in which they are struggling before it’s too late. With the kind of talent and experience they have in the team, they can make a dominating comeback but they need to rejuvenate themselves and every player needs to take responsibility.

Two changes that Delhi Capitals (DC) might make for their next game after suffering two consecutive losses in IPL 2023

The two games so far have been horrendous for the Delhi Capitals. It has been a poor performance from their end as they have struggled to score runs with the bat. They are next slated to face Rajasthan Royals on 8th April. As their third game is around the corner, let’s take a look at two changes that Delhi Capitals (DC) might make for their second game against Rajasthan Royals.

1. Yash Dhull in place of Sarfaraz Khan

One of the prime changes that Delhi Capitals might be looking to do in their third game is that they can bring young Yash Dhull in place of Sarfaraz Khan. The Mumbai batter has been struggling to get going and didn’t look settled in the two games he played. The batter scored just 4 runs in 9 balls in the first game and then scored 30 runs in 34 balls in the second game. He had a torrid time in the field against GT as he failed to time the ball. On the other hand, Dhull has been in fine form in the domestic circuit and could play a vital role team in the middle. His ability to hit the bowlers right from the ball 1 could come in handy for the team as DC is lacking a quality Indian batter in the middle.

2. Lalit Yadav in place of Aman Khan

Delhi Capitals’ batting has let them down so far in the tournament. They are struggling to get going and also lacking a great start at the top and finishing as well. Aman Khan, who played the second game as an all-rounder, in the team failed drastically with both bat and ball and therefore the team can look to replace him in the team. They could bring in Lalit Yadav in his place. The all-rounder was one of the emerging performers for DC last year. His ability to bat and bowl leg spin could be vital for DC. This will not only strengthen their batting lineup but will also give a leg-spinner who can support Kuldeep Yadav and Axar Patel
