After two back to back losses, Delhi Capitals made a strong comeback in IPL 2026. They beat Royal Challengers Bengaluru by six wickets at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Saturday. Put into bat, Bengaluru managed just 175 for eight, which Delhi chased in last over.

RCB had a strong start to their innings as Phil Salt (63) and Virat Kohli (19) targeted Delhi bowlers right from the start. With their 52-run opening partnership, Bengaluru dominated the powerplay.

But after that, Delhi made a terrific comeback and didn’t let Bengaluru take the momentum. Tim David (26) looked but failed to bat long as Bengaluru’s middle and lower order failed. Bengaluru ended with 175 for eight, and for Delhi, Axar Patel picked two wickets.

Delhi had a poor start to their innings as Bhuvneshwar Kumar jolted the top order, removing Pathum Nissanka, Karun Nair and Sameer Rizvi for single digits. KL Rahul (57) looked in superb touch and ensured that the scoring rate was close to the asking rate.

He hammered a brilliant half-century and put pressure back on opposition. After he got out, Tristan Stubbs (60*) and captain Axar Patel (26 retd hurt) did the further damage, adding 47 runs together.

After Patel walked off with cramps, David Miller (22*) joined Stubbs. Miller, who failed to take his team home against Gujarat, came up with redemption and took his team to win when they needed 15 runs off last over.
