The Kiwi pacer Trent Boult has done a tremendous job for Mumbai Indians. The pacer was drafted into the squad in a trade from Delhi Capitals (DC) in the IPL 2020 and it turned out to be a game-changing move for the five times title-winning team.

The left-arm speedster scalped 25 wickets in the last IPL edition in the UAE and has picked up eight wickets in the current IPL 2021, having played seven matches.

Shane Bond has spent quality time with the most successful IPL franchise. He was roped in by MI back in 2015 as a bowling coach and since then the franchise has won four IPL titles.

Mumbai Indians (MI) first half of IPL 2021:

Rohit Sharma and Co. had a mixed first half of the fourteenth edition of the IPL. The franchise managed to win four matches in seven games and are placed fourth in the points table with eight points.

Most of the matches Mumbai played were in Chennai which was a tricky surface to be at. No assistance to the batter and the complete domination from the bowlers was witnessed. The upcoming matches will be crucial for the defending champions as they look to make it three in a row.
