SL vs PAK 2023: 1st Test Day 4 Stumps, Pakistan need 83 runs to win the 1st Test against Sri Lanka: From June 16-20, 2023. Sri Lanka and Pakistan are playing the first test match at Galle International Stadium, Galle.

By the End of Day 4, Pakistan is at 48/3, and they need 83 runs in 98 overs to win the first test match. They are in a good position to win the match. Imam-ul-Haq plays at 25*(45), whereas Skipper Babar Azam is at 6*(9).

Sri Lanka has played good cricket and given tough competition to Pakistan. In their Second inning, Sri Lanka got all out at 279 runs and gave Pakistan 131 runs target. Prabath Jayasuriya took two wickets in the fourth inning and looked in good touch.

In the first inning, Sri Lanka batted well, scoring 312 runs on the scoreboard; Dhananjaya de Silva played phenomenally and knocked a crucial century for his team; he scored 122 runs in 214 balls.

Sri Lankan most experienced current player, Angelo Mathews, scored 64 runs in 109 balls, whereas Skipper Dsimuth Karunaratne got out by scoring just 29 runs. From Pakistan Side, Shaheen Afridi, Naseem Shah, and Abrar Ahmed took three wickets each.

Pakistan came to bat in their first inning, and they scored massive 461 runs on the scoreboard. Saud Shakeel played a superb inning of 208 runs in 361 balls and became the first Pakistani player to score a double century against Sri Lanka in test cricket.

Salman Ali Alga and Saud Shakeel made a massive 177 runs partnership for the 6th wicket. Salman Ali Alga scored 83 runs in 113 balls. From Sri Lankan Side, Ramesh Mendis took five wickets, and Prabath Jayasuriya took three wickets in this inning.

In their Second Inning, Sri Lanka scored 279 runs and gave Pakistan a decent target of 131 runs; Dhananjaya de Silva scored 82 runs in 118 balls, whereas Ramesh Mendis scored 42 runs. In this inning, Pakistani Bowlers dominated the host; Abrar Ahmed and Nomal Ali took three wickets each.

Pakistan came to bat in the last inning, and they lost a couple of wickets in the early few overs, but Imam-ul-Haq and Babar Azam were on the crease, and they needed only 83 runs to win the match.
