Points Table, Orange Cap, Purple Cap in IPL 2022 – Updated List April 6: Rajasthan Royals (RR) batter Jos Buttler and spinner Yuzvendra Chahal have taken big leaps in the current Orange Cap and Purple Cap charts after the game against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), last night. Though RR ended on the losing side, they still remain at the top with four match points in three matches.

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) won the game by four wickets following match-winning efforts from Dinesh Karthik and Shahbaz Ahmed. 

Karthik played an unbeaten knock of 44 runs from 23 deliveries while Shahbaz Ahmed scored 45 from 26 deliveries. 

Meanwhile, to set the total, Rajasthan Royals (RR) piled up 169 runs in the loss of three wickets. Opener batter Jos Buttler remained unbeaten at 70 runs from 47 balls while Shimron Hetmyer scored 42 off 31 and remained not out.

Rajasthan Royals still remain at the top of the points table with four points from their two wins followed by Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Gujarat Titans (GT) who also have four points each against their names.

Punjab Kings is at fourth followed by Lucknow Super Giants and Royal Challengers Bangalore with four points each in their three matches. The last four positions have been occupied by Delhi Capitals, Mumbai Indians, Chennai Super Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad respectively.

RR batter Jos Buttler holds the orange cap currently with over 200 runs in three matches of the Tata IPL 2022. He is followed by Mumbai Indians batter Ishan Kishan (135 runs), Faf du Plessis (122 runs) and Deepak Hooda (119 runs).

Shimron Hetmyer has shown brilliant consistency in the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). owing to his 31 balls 42, he jumped to the fifth spot in the orange cap with an overall score of 109 runs from three matches.

KKR’s Umesh Yadav is still at the top of the bowlers ranking with eight wickets from three matches. Yuzvendra Chahal was superb in the match against RCB, last night, and picked up two crucial wickets. Chahal occupies the second spot with 7 wickets.

Yuzvendra Chahal is followed by Lucknow Super Giants’ Avesh Khan (7 wickets), Punjab Kings’ Rahul Chahar (6 wickets) and RCB’s Wanindu Hasaranga (6 wickets).
