Players who can bag INR 15 Crores or more in the IPL 2022 Mega Auction: The market of the Indian Premier League (IPL) has begun to get hot as the 2022 Mega auction is just around the corner, as BCCI has announced February 12 and 13 as the two days for the auction.

Ahead of the mega auction, the Indian cricket board successfully expanded the IPL from eight to ten teams by adding Lucknow and Ahmedabad as two new IPL franchises. The two aforementioned teams will become functional from the upcoming edition of the IPL.

The mega auction will ensure every single player to go under the hammer barring the 27 retained players. The bidding war would take place amongst the ten IPL teams to acquire players from the auction table and form a formidable squad.

The mega auction would be the first step for each team to get closer to the IPL title. A strong squad would certainly benefit the team to win more matches and even win the IPL title.

As of now, South African Chris Morris happens to be the costliest player in the history of the Indian Premier League auction. The dashing all-rounder, who now has taken retirement, bagged a hefty contract from Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the IPL 2021 worth INR 16.25 Crores surpassing the likes of Yuvraj Singh who bagged INR 16 Crores from Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals) in IPL 2015.

The coming edition of the IPL will see more record-breaking bids to acquire highly performing assets in the team. With the total purse value getting increased by INR 5 Crores, the players might receive more money for their services from the IPL franchises.

In this article, we will take you through the top Players who can bag INR 15 Crores or more in the IPL 2022 Mega Auction.

The former Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) spinner Yuzvendra Chahal had a disappointing first phase of the IPL 2021, owing to which he lost his T20 World Cup 2021 spot and probably that could be the reason why he missed out from RCB’s player retention list.

The Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) retained the likes of Virat Kohli, Glenn Maxwell and Mohammad Siraj as their three retentions for the IPL 2022.

Despite enduring a low phase in the IPL 2021, the Indian experienced leg spinner bounced back in phase 2 of the IPL 2021 and clinched 18 wickets.

Though Yuzvendra Chahal would be a little disappointed for not getting named in the RCB retention list, however, there is nothing to worry about as such for the player because he is probable to fetch a healthy new contract soon.

As per the reports, Yuzvendra Chahal is sought by the two newly inducted IPL teams. He is likely to break into one of the two new IPL teams, ahead of the IPL 2022 Mega Auction.

The leggie has an ingenious ability to provide breakthroughs in the middle overs. He can deceive the batsman with his variations and has time and again proved that.

Surely, the former Punjab Kings (PBKS) skipper, KL Rahul is going to take home a fatty sum of INR 15 crores or more in the upcoming IPL 2022 mega auction, or I should mention, before the IPL 2022 Mega Auction.

The Lucknow based IPL team has reportedly signed a contract with KL Rahul for a massive INR 20 crores. Rahul, owing to his past heroics in the IPL, is going to be the skipper of Lucknow.

Rahul has amassed over 3200 runs in his IPL career comprising 94 matches at an impressive strike rate of 136.38. To add more stats, KL Rahul has scored over 600 runs in nearly every season after joining Punjab Kings (PBKS).

He was the leading run-getter in the IPL 2020 and won the Orange Cap for his sensational batting effort.

For once, even if we believe that KL Rahul will throw his hat in the auction table, he would surely engage almost every IPL team in a bidding war. The cricketer’s abilities have been chased by many.

Besides his batting prowess, KL Rahul is also a fine leader of the pack. He had led Punjab Kings (PBKS) recently. Moreover, the cricketer is just appointed team India’s limited-overs vice-captain.

Shreyas Iyer:

The other player who is likely to fetch a bulky contract of INR 15 crores or more is middle-order batsman Shreyas Iyer

Former Delhi Capitals (DC) skipper, Shreyas Iyer, was recently released from his parent franchise. Iyer wanted to lead the side, however, Delhi management was convinced to retain Rishabh Pant as the leader of the group.

Iyer was a prominent force that helped Delhi Capitals (DC) in its resurgence in the IPL. Under Shreyas’ leadership, Delhi reached its maiden IPL final in the year 2020.

Just like the other two players on the list, Iyer is also being chased by several IPL teams. Apart from Ahmedabad and Lucknow, five times IPL champions Mumbai Indians and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have shown interest in the services of the cricketer.

The Mumbai batsman is also the third-highest run-getter for Delhi Capitals (DC) with 2375 runs in 85 matches following Virendra Sehwag and Rishabh Pant.
