Pakistan vs Australia T20I series: Schedule announced

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced the schedule for the upcoming T20I series against the Australian Cricket Team. The two teams will be locking horns with each other in the three-match T20I series before the ICC T20 World Cup 2026.

Australia is all set to tour Pakistan for the T20I series, which will act as a preparation for both sides ahead of the ICC T20 World Cup 2026, which will be played in India and Sri Lanka from February 7 to March 8.

The Pakistan vs Australia series will begin on January 12 followed by the second match of the series to be played on January 31. The last match will take place in February. All three games of the PAK vs AUS series will be played at the iconic Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.

Pakistan has yet to announce their squad for the T20 World Cup 2026. This means that the Pakistan vs Australia series will be important for a lot of players as the World Cup selection is around the corner. The bigger question remains what will be the future of Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan

Neither Babar Azam nor Mohammad Rizwan didn’t featured in the T20I series against Australia. This means that there is are chance that the duo might not feature in the Pakistan squad for the T20 World Cup 2026, which in itself will be a big development. 

On the other hand, Australia have announced their squad for both Pakistan as well as T20 World Cup 2026. Mitchell Marsh will lead the team and they will be keen to fix their combination in the series and head into the World Cup on a high note.
