Tristan Stubbs shockingly dropped as South Africa announce squad for T20 World Cup 2026
The South Africa Cricket Team have named their squad for the ICC T20 World Cup 2026. What has been the biggest surprise is that Tristan Stubbs has been dropped from the team along with the keeper-batter Ryan Rickelton.
Tristan Stubbs has been one of the best batters for South Africa in the T20Is and his getting dropped comes as a massive blow. In his place, Jason Smith has been added to the side as he has been in great form of late in the format.
The South Africa squad will be captained by Aiden Markram and will feature the likes of Dewald Brevis, Quinton de Kock and Tony de Zorzi in the batting department. While there are plenty of all-rounders in the side.
The all-rounders include Corbin Bosch, Donovan Ferreira, Marco Jansen and George Linde. They will support the bowlers in Lungi Ngidi, Anrich Nortje, Kagiso Rabada Kwena Maphaka and Keshav
The batting department will be bolstered by captain Aiden Markram. He will be there along with Quinton de Kock and Tony de Zorzi. Young gun Dewald Brevis will also he there and a lot would be reliant on him as well.
