Bangladesh announce squad for the T20 World Cup 2026

Bangladesh Cricket Team have announced their squad for the ICC T20 World Cup 2026, which will be played from February 7 to  March 8 in India and Sri Lanka. Litton Das will lead the 15-member squad in the tournament, which the Asian side are looking to win.

The Bangladesh side features a complete mix of youth and experience. They have named a solid bowling lineup with Mustafizur Rahman and Taskin Ahmed leading the pace bowling attack, while Mahedi Hasan, Nasum Ahmed and Rishad Hossain will be taking charge of spin bowling.

In terms of batting, Tanzid Hasan and Parvez Hossain Emon will be key batters along with captain Litton Das. With the kind of team that they have named, they would be keen to win the title and end their long title drought.

Bangladesh are placed in a strong group stage featuring England, West Indies, Nepal and Italy with just two teams advancing to the Super 8s. They are scheduled to play their games in Kolkata and Mumbai, but tensions between India and Bangladesh might see their matches moved out.

Bangladesh have played in each of the T20 World Cups so far but has never managed to qualify for the semi-finals or beyond. This time around, they will have a great opportunity to show their might and perform to their potential.
