Asia Cup 2023: Pakistan hopeful to host India in 2023 Asia Cup said PCB chief.

Asia Cup 2023: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Ehsan Mani is hopeful to host Indian in the 2023 Asia Cup in Pakistan and hopes political relation between the two will improve by then.

Asia Cup in 2022 will be hosted in Sri Lanka while the next Asia Cup will be held in Pakistan. With this statement, all the probabilities of the Asia Cup 2021 are ruled out and it is clear that the continental cricket tournament will be rescheduled to 2022.

“In 2022 Sri Lanka will have it (Asia Cup) and in 2023 Pakistan will be hosting the regional event. I am optimistic that by time the political relations between the two countries would have improved and this would pave the way for the Indian team to come to Pakistan,” Mani said.

“Both the sides are looking positives in improving relations. This can be seen in recent times through the backdoor and by then the ice will melt completely,” said Mani to a newspaper during an interview.

He further added if BCCI and Indian cricketers agree on touring Pakistan, it will be a huge breakthrough for the Pakistan Cricket Board and Pakistan cricket.

Ehsan Mani eliminated all the chances of Asia Cup 2021 as Pakistan will be busy with PSL and India will be devoted to ICC World Test Championship 2021 against New Zealand.

“There is no question of the Asia Cup being held this year as we are very busy and don’t have time to spare this year.”

The remaining games of PSL season 6 will be held in June said PCB chief. PSL was postponed recently due to covid-19 cases inside the bio-bubbles.

He said he has not received any information from BCCI regarding sending the second-string Indian side to Asia Cup 2021.

We have been assured by ICC about our participation in the T20 World Cup 2021 which is to be held in India later this year disclosed Mani.
