PAK vs AFG, UAE Tri Series Final: Nawaz's Hat-Trick and Five Wicket Haul Crush Afghanistan in Sharjah

Pakistan played one-sided cricket in the UAE Tri-Series Final in Sharjah as they won the trophy after defeating Afghanistan by a margin of 75 runs. With this, Pakistan’s all-rounder Mohammad Nawaz took a hat-trick with a five-wicket haul.

The UAE Tri- Series 2025 between Pakistan National Cricket Team, Afghanistan National Cricket Team, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) comes to an end after Pakistan defeated Afghanistan by a massive 75 runs. This one-sided victory will definately give Pakistan some confidence in the Asia Cup 2025, which is going to start from September 09, 2025.

Mohammad Nawaz delivered a magical spell, got a hat-trick, and finished the UAE Tri-Series Final with five five-wicket hauls to crush the Afghanistan National Cricket team just before the start of the Asia Cup 2025.

Pakistan was able to put 141 runs on the scoreboard while batting first with a loss of 8 wickets in 20 overs. Afghanistan's star player, Rashid Khan, took 3 wickets and helped restrict Pakistan to a decent total.

However, Afghanistan continously lost wickets throughout the game until they got all-out at 66 in just 15.5 overs. Neither the Opener nor the middle-order batter performed; the highest score was by the skipper, Rashid Khan, who scored 17 runs.

Mohammad Nawaz's hat trick changed the whole game for Pakistan:

Mohammad Nawaz is a left-arm medium fast bowler who is consistently taking wickets for Pakistan in international cricket. He took 10 wickets in 5 games in the UAE Tri-Series 2025 and finished as the top wicket-taker of the series, which is a good sign for Pakistan ahead of the Asia Cup 2025.

In the final, the game changed when Nawaz came to bowl. He took two back-to-back wickets by removing Darwish Rasooli and Azmatullah Omarzai in the 5th over of the second inning.

Nawaz trapped, the leading run-scorer of this tri-series, Ibrahim Zadran, for his third wicket at the very first ball of the 7th over, and completed his hat-trick. Later, he also got the wicket of Karim Janat and Afghanistan skipper Rashid Khan and finished five-wicket Haul in the final game in sharjah.

Pakistan's Batting Effort:

Pakistan struggled in the starting few overs of the game as the pitch was a bit difficult in the final match; however, they tried to control the game after the power play and got a little bit of success.

But Rashid Khan and Noor Ahmed bowled an excellent spell and restricted Pakistan to 141. Fakhar Zaman scored 27 runs, where Mohammad Nawaz and Skipper Salman Ali Agha made 25 and 24 runs, respectively.

Player of the Match and Series:

Mohammad Nawaz not only won the Player of the Match but was also named Player of the Series for his impressive and excellent bowling performances throughout the UAE T20 Tri-Series 2025.
